You don’t just take Kate Moss’s best-dressed crown and walk away unharmed. Moss, a clotheshorse legend, has spurred some of the most influential trends: menswear-inspired vests, leopard-print jackets, and of course, skinny jeans.

Turns out Deyn does deserve the victory; Moss commmited self-sabotage by cashing in on a Topshop collection and then, alas, actually had to wear the stuff.

Moss: For a tiebreaker, we’re forced to judge the accessory any ensemble depends upon: hair. Last year Moss launched a hair-product line … kinda strange because hers usually looks like it hasn’t been washed in days (but yeah, we think that’s pretty glam too). If only she’d held off and waited to patent her new banged look.

Deyn: Okay, so she didn’t originate the pixie cut. Even Moss tried the look in 2001. But Deyn’s revamped the cute style. Now it’s irreverent and modern and a refreshing departure from the cascading, pale brown locks other catwalkers sport. And waves of fashion-forward girls are following suit.

It’s not a big surprise that Caridee has won America’s Next Top Model. But it was still a tight final.

The girls of ANTM were judged on how well they strutted on the runway, how well they wore makeup, and how well they composed themselves in various photo shoots.

Eugenia is gorgeous but she barely took a great photo. Bah-bye. That left Caridee & Melrose to hash it out. No one can stand Melrose, but she’s obviously done her modeling 101 homework and rarely takes a professional misstep. She rocked the final catwalk! But Caridee aced the final photo shoot and commercial.

So in the end it was the loopy, but gorgeous Caridee.

This summer saw the Madrid shows banning skinny models, and now followed by the death of anorexic model Ana Carolina Reston maybe that’s enough for the rest of the fashion industry to finally wake up to the dangers of the eating disorder.

Reston, 21, a 5′ 8" Brazilian model weighed only 88 pounds at the time of her death. She succumbed to an infection caused by anorexia nervosa, officials at Sao Paulo’s Servior Publico Hospital said.

And now Twiggy jumps on board in blaming Hollywood for it’s role in the skinny.

Lindsay Lohan has been chosen as the face of Miu Miu, the lower priced line from Prada. Her “reported campaign deal with Louis Vuitton may have fallen through the cracks, and her rumored Versace deal may just have been nothing more than a figment of her fragrant imagination, but Miuccia Prada has taken a firm stance with the PYT. Lohan has been cast as the face of Miu Miu for its Spring 2007 ad campaign, a Prada spokeswoman confirmed [via Fashion Week Daily].”

Since 2001 Kate Moss has been the face for Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle, but with all of Moss’s white powder controversy there’s been speculation over who would become the next face for Chanel 2007.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is the new face of Coco Mademoiselle. "The rumours circulating the French fashion house for the last two months were confirmed yesterday with Keira thought to have received at least $1 million for a one year contract involving both print and television ads [via Vogue]."

As if Knightley can’t get enough attention, on Thursday she was also named the world’s sexiest woman on Thursday. She beat the likes of Keely Hazel, Scarlett Johansson, Kelly Brook and Angelina Jolie in a poll by FHM magazine.

Dove’s latest ad campaign takes an average looking woman and makes her model-like. This video follows the transformation in the most compelling way I’ve ever experienced.

I enjoy makeup, it’s not a bad thing, but I think it’s critical to understand the influences driving our need to wear makeup. Most of us know that consumersism is the drive behind the ads tossed our way, but do we really get it? It’s great that a commercial like this makes you stop and think.

Just this last March model, Naomi Campbell faced charges of assault and battery toward her housekeeper. Naomi is accused of beating her with a cell phone . That case isn’t yet settled, and now new allegations from yet another woman.

Naomi returned to a police station Thursday after allegedly being involved in this second altercation the day before. Here’s this beautiful woman that has so much opportunity at her feet, so here’s the question of the day - why isn’t this woman in anger management?
