Samsonite has tapped Christina Ricci as the face of its new Fashionaire line under the Samsonite Black Label brand.
The collection was designed in collaboration with Cameron Silver, owner of Los Angeles-based vintage retailer Decades, who acts as a consultant, and Samsonite creative director Quentin Mackay. Fashionaire is an update of a travel and luggage line that Samsonite released in 1968. Ricci, along with Silver and Mackay, will host a launch event tonight at New York’s Gramercy Park Hotel. Ricci appears in the line’s look book and global public relations campaign in photos shot by KT Auleta.

OOoh, so wait. Are they actually remaking that B&B mod luggage?? I have a few pieces of it and i love it. But it weighs a TON. Coooool!

I agree in part with your post, but some of the text I find misleading ! This is not aimed as a criticsm and hope it is not taken that way. Travel is a favourite pastime of mine and I am passionate about it. !!

I owned this luggage when I was a teenager and through college and early adulthood. I had it for several years and loved it. It just wouldn’t wear out. I finally gave it away because it was SO heavy. I would love to purchase the new (lightweight and updated with wheels, I hope) version. It’s so easy to spot on the luggage return.
