Madonna was recently at the celebrity confessional - let’s call that Oprah - to discuss her adoption controversy. While she was "not defending her actions," but rather "explaining" them she was also racking up style points with fans.
Nothing disco here, it was all demure glamour in soft curls and a silk jersey dress from UK’s ISSA London. Do you think she looked too unnaturally, motherly or did this fashion icon hold her own and rise to the occasion?

I am working on developing a web site that will show case only independent design work. These fresh new designers will hopefully flourish on the site. The web will open up a worldwide arena that these small up-and-coming designers can have a hard time tapping into. The majority of work will be one-of-kind-garments. You Will Never Be Caught Wearing the Same Thing As Lola Richards.
I am asking the Fashion Salad readers for their input on independent fashion. What would you like to see? What would you love to buy. What special item are you always looking for? Get back to us indie's - we would love to hear your thoughts. In the meantime check out fashionflat.com and sign up to be informed about these unique garments.

Just this last March model, Naomi Campbell faced charges of assault and battery toward her housekeeper. Naomi is accused of beating her with a cell phone . That case isn’t yet settled, and now new allegations from yet another woman.
Naomi returned to a police station Thursday after allegedly being involved in this second altercation the day before. Here’s this beautiful woman that has so much opportunity at her feet, so here’s the question of the day - why isn’t this woman in anger management?

It's so embarrassing when you get caught wearing the same dress as someone else. Especially when that someone else is a one-year-old.
You know those awkward moments when you notice someone's wearing the exact outfit as you, and you stay on opposite sides of the party. What do you do when that other someone is a 1 yr old?! Denise Richard's daughter, Lola, was recently spotted in the same Juicy Couture dress as Eva Longoria.

The final challenge is to create 12 looks for NY Fashion Week; using $8,000 and with only two months to do it. The four collections already hit the catwalks, but have not aired on the reality show. If you can’t wait for the episode you can click here for pictures.
And for an even juicier sneak peak People Magazine’s has an exclusive video clip preview. So do you desire Jeffrey’s punk rock style or Laura’s classic glam’? Covet Uli’s hippie-esque designs or Michael’s hip steetwear?
Who’s gonna win - and who do you want to win Project Runway?!
P.S. If you’re a Project Runway fan you have
to appreciate Four Four’s fashion equation of Laura.

Following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon and Stella McCartney – a new talent steps up to design for Chloe.
Melim Andersson, a graduate of both the famed Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, will debut next March showing Chloe’s fall 2007 collection.
He’s got huge shoes to fill. Those of Yvan Mispelaere, who has overseen the past two Chloe runway collections. That includes Chloe’s Paddington bag which is one of the scarcest – most coveted fashion finds right now.
